Ingredients

How to make it

  • In heavy saucepan over low heat, melt butter and chocolate, whisking until smooth
  • Remove pan from heat
  • Add sugar, eggs, vanilla, whisk until well blended
  • Whisk in the flour, salt, until just blended
  • Stir in walnuts
  • Pour into buttered and floured 8 x 8 square baking pan or dish
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted in middle comes out *just a little sticky* with a few crumbs
  • Be careful not to overbake
  • Cool completely in pan on wire rack
  • Chill, then cut in squares (don't have to chill)
  • If chilled, let them stand at room temperature before serving
