Ingredients

How to make it

  • Cinnamon-Nut Topping:
  • In medium bowl, cut 1/4 cup butter into 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar until crumbly. Add 1/3 cup sugar, 1/4 cup all-purpose flour, 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, and 1/3 cup chopped pecans. Stir until well blended.
  • In large bowl, combine 1 cup flour, sugar, undissolved yeast, and salt.
  • Heat milk, water, and butter until very warm (120 to 130 F). Gradually add to dry ingredients. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed of electric mixer, scraping bowl occasionally. Add eggs and 1/2 cup flour; beat 2 minutes at high speed, scraping bowl occasionally. Stir in remaining flour to make a stiff batter. Turn into greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Arrange peaches in rows on top of batter. Sprinkle Cinnamon-Nut Topping evenly over peaches. Cover; let rise in warm, draft-free place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  • Bake at 375 F for 25 to 30 minutes or until done. Serve warm or cool. Cut into squares to serve.
