All doggies love liver and yours will love this one. My Papillon is small and old so I put the liver in the blender.From Pastry Wiz.

Ingredients
  • 12-16 ounces raw liver
  • 1 1/2 lb White flour
  • 8 oz Quaker Oats
  • 3 Bouillon cubes, meat or chicken flavored
  • 1 c Water- approx.
  • 2 Eggs, beaten

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350. Grease 3 cookie sheets.
  2. Chop the liver finely, or put briefly in a blender.
  3. Mix flour and oats, crumble in the bouillon cubes, add eggs and the chopped liver.
  4. Add enough water to make a firm but slightly sticky dough.
  5. Spread evenly on the cookie sheets, about 1/2" thick.
  6. Dip a small dog-cookie cutter in flour before cutting out each portion. Bake 1 hour.
  7. Can be kept for about 2 weeks.
  8. Store in refrigerator.

Well, what do you know, I'd even like to eat them! *giggle* I'll try it for my pooch.


I don't have a dog but my dad just loves his pug! This sounds like a good gift for them this X-mas. Can you use chicken or beef liver?


Your puppy is so precious! I've got this saved for sure - my Labrador Retriever, Duke loves liver! I'm glad someone in the family does:)!


All I would change on this recipe is the 3 bouillon cubes since that is way too much salt there for a dog. I will try this with just about 1/2 a bouillon cube (that should do it for the taste).
