How to make it

  • Set aside two tablespoons of salsa.
  • In medium bowl combine remaining salsa, lime juice, mustard and garlic.
  • Coat salmon steaks in marinade then cover and refrigerate for at least 1/2 hour.
  • In medium bowl combine butter with lime zest, cumin and reserved salsa.
  • Mix well and set aside.
  • Preheat broiler on high.
  • Remove salmon steaks from marinade and discard marinade.
  • Season with salt and pepper then arrange side by side in oiled oven proof dish.
  • Place salmon under broiler 4" from heat source.
  • Broil 3 minutes per side then bone and skin salmon steaks.
  • Arrange salmon steaks on warm plates.
  • Spoon a teaspoon of salsa butter on top of each steak.
  • Garnish plates with lime wedges then serve hot.
