Ingredients

How to make it

  • 1. Make the syrup by combining the sugar, water and lemon juice. Boil for 2 minutes and remove from the heat.
  • 2. Beat the eggs with the yogurt and, with a wooden spoon, mix in the baking soda and as much flour as needed to make a soft dough.
  • 3. Heat the oil, and in another container have some oil at room temperature.
  • 4. First dip a spoon into the cold oil, then take a spoonful of dough and drop it into the hot oil to cook for 2 or 3 minutes. Use your finger to push the batter off the spoon if necessary,
  • 5. Drain the doughnuts on paper towels then immerse in the syrup for 3-4 minutes.
  • 6. Place on a platter. Drizzle with the remaining syrup and serve.
