Family chicken and leek pie

- 4 bacon rashers, chopped shopping list
- 15g butter shopping list
- 3 leeks, finely sliced shopping list
- 6 zucchini, sliced shopping list
- 2 tablespoons oil shopping list
- 16 chicken thigh fillets, chopped shopping list
- 1kg potatoes, sliced shopping list
- 15g butter, extra shopping list
- ½ cup grated tasty cheese shopping list
- cheese sauce shopping list
- 45g butter shopping list
- 1 clove garlic, crushed shopping list
- 1 chicken stock cube, crumbled shopping list
- ¼ cup plain flour shopping list
- 2 cups milk shopping list
- 1 cup grated tasty cheese shopping list
- ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese shopping list
How to make it
- Cook bacon in frying pan until crisp. Add butter, leeks and zucchini, cook 5 minutes or until leeks are tender. Remove from pan.
- Heat oil in the pan, add chicken gradually, cook over high heat until lightly browned all over, all to bacon mixture with cheese sauce, mix well. Place in shallow ovenproof dish, top with potatoes. Brush with extra melted butter, sprinkle with cheese, bake at 190°C for 60 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cheese sauce: Melt butter in saucepan, add garlic, stock cube and flour, cook 1 minute, stirring. Gradually stir in milk, stir until sauce boils and thickens, add cheeses, stir until melted.
