Bacon Lettuce and Tomato Club Sandwich

- 3 slices toasted white sandwich bread shopping list
- 3 teaspoons prepared mustard shopping list
- 4 slices crisp but not brittle bacon shopping list
- 6 thin slices tomato shopping list
- 1/4 cup shredded lettuce shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon salt shopping list
How to make it
- For each sandwich, use three slices of toasted sandwich bread.
- Spread some mustard on the first slice. Cover this with two slices of crisp bacon made to fit the bread, two thin slices of tomato and some finely shredded lettuce. Add a touch of salt.
- Put some mustard on the second slice of toasted bread and put it, mustard-side down, on top of the lettuce.
- Spread some mustard on this second slice in place. Cover this with the slices of crisp bacon made to fit the bread, two thin slices of tomato and some finely shredded lettuce. Add a touch of salt.
- Put some mustard on the third toast slice and firmly press it into place on top of the lettuce.
- Secure all three slices of the sandwich with 4 toothpicks ; inserted through the sandwich to allow room to slice the club sandwich into fourths, by making two diagonal cuts. Each quarter sandwich should have a toothpick in it's center. The quarters may then be arranged , crust-side down, on a serving plate.
- Note: This sandwich is know as the "BLT."
