This dish works well as an accompanyment to crabcakes and probably most seafood as a sort of tarter sauch. It would probably stand alone as a dip as well.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill leaves
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley leaves
  • 1 tablespoon grated lemon zest
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 garlic clove, minced

Directions
  1. To make the sauce, combine all of the ingredients in a bowl and stir well. Refrigerate until chilled. The sauce will thicken as it chills.

I had to use the leftover fresh dill that i had after doing my ranch dressing (which i invite you to try.). I did your recipe and had it with salmon. Boy it was good and tasted so fresh !! It tastes a little like tzatziki but fresher and a much better texture. 2 thumbs up !!

BTW if you do salmon, try to add to your sauce the leftover poaching juice to you sauce. It's delicious.)
