One of my Mums old recipes. A quick and tasty lunch or supper.

Ingredients
  • 6 thick pork sausages
  • 6 rashers of back bacon
  • 4oz cheddar Cheese
  • 1 tbsp pickle (or sweet chutney) (optional) or alternatively I have used mustard
  • Few wooden cocktail sticks
  • 4 slices of bread
  • Little butter

Directions
  1. Prick the sausages with a fork and grill under a moderate heat for about 15 minutes.
  2. Remove from grill and make a slit in each sausage, lengthways.
  3. Wedge a slice of cheese into each slit.
  4. Cut the rind from the backon and spread with the chutney.
  5. Wrap the bacon round the sausages and pin securely with cocktail sticks.
  6. Return to the grill and cook for about 5 minutes, until bacon is crispy and cheese is melting.
  7. Toast the bread, spread with butter and serve with sausages
