- Ma Conlin's Apple Pie shopping list
- 6 cups peeled, sliced apples (Idared, Golden Delicious, shopping list
- Jonathan, Granny Smith) shopping list
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice shopping list
- 3/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- pinch ground nutmeg shopping list
- Box prepared pastry for double-crust 9-inch pie (they are as shopping list
- good as my crust and less work) shopping list
- Preheat oven to 400°F. shopping list
How to make it
- Combine apples and lemon juice in mixing bowl. Combine sugar,
- flour, cinnamon and nutmeg; mix well. Pour sugar mixture over
- apples, and stir to coat. Spoon filling into pastry-lined 9-inch
- pie pan.
- Place top pastry to top of pie. Fold edges under to seal, and
- flute rim. Cut slits, decorative or not, into top pastry for
- steam to escape. Bake in preheated 400°F oven for 45-50 minutes.
