White Pound Cake

- 1 cup sweet butter shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 8 egg whites, beaten shopping list
- Grated rind of 1 lemon shopping list
- 2 cups pastry flour shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon mace shopping list
- 2 ounces each candied cherries, citron and sliced almonds shopping list
How to make it
- Cream butter then slowly add sugar and beat until fluffy.
- Stiffly beat whites and add to butter mixture.
- Add grated lemon rind.
- Sift flour and mace and mix through the sliced fruit and nuts.
- Add to the first mixture and bake in tube pan at 300 for 1 hour.
