Crispy Spinach

- 1 - bundle of spinach ( about 1/4 kilo) shopping list
- Bowl of ice cold water shopping list
- 1/4 - cup cornstarch shopping list
- 2 - egg whites shopping list
- cooking oil for deep frying shopping list
- For dip: shopping list
- 1 - cup mayonnaise shopping list
- 3 - 4 - drops liquid seasoning sauce shopping list
- 1 - tablespoon Chopped garlic shopping list
- dash of pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Remove spinach leaves from their stems and wash very well. Soak leaves in a bowl of cold water for 15 to 20 minutes
- Pat dry each spinach leaf with paper towels.
- In a bowl combine cornstarch and egg whites and beat with a wire whisk. Dip each dried leaf in the batter.
- In a wok heat cooking oil and fry leaves on both sides in hot oil until coating hardens or its light brown and spinach is crisp.
- Drain cooked spinach leaves on paper towels. Serve with prepared mayonnaise dip.
- To prepare Mayonnaise dip.
- Mix together mayonnaise, liquid seasoning, chopped garlic and pepper. If mayonnaise dip is not desired, flavor the batter of the spinach leaves with seasoning sauce, chopped garlic and pepper.
