Blue Ribbon Cheesecake Recipe

Blue Ribbon Cheesecake Recipe
This is the best cheesecake I've ever eaten. It's really to die for, got the recipe from a friend of mine years ago and it's been a family favorite ever since. Enjoy!

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 4 Tablespoons Butter
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • Melt Butter add other ingredients and line either a 9 or 10 inch
  • springform pan.
  • Filling
  • 1 3/4Cups sugar
  • 3 - 8oz pkgs cream cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 16 oz container of sour cream

Directions
  1. Cream together sugar and cream cheese, add eggs one at the time, add vanilla and sour cream.
  2. Pour flling into crust lined pan. Bake at 300* for one hour. Turn oven off after one hour but leave cake in for 3 more hours.
  3. Chill overnight and serve.
  4. Some times I use sour cream and fruit pie filling or coolwhip and fruit to add alittle something extra, but this cake is good enough to stand on it's own.
  5. You can also if you like add chocolate chips to the filling and decorate the top with chocolate shavings.

This sounds really good, Henrie! I finally found that strawberry pie filling in a store out of my area. I forgot which recipe you used it for but I'll find it somewhere in here, I hope! Thanks, again!

This is one of my favorite Cheesecakes! Great post!
