Holiday Cut-out Cookies

I never cared for Decorated Holiday cookies until I made these and my family is still requesting them after all these years. The flavor is wonderful and not too sweet, even decorated. Time given is prior to rolling out and cutting
Ingredients
- Sift together and reserve: shopping list
- 2 ¾ C flour shopping list
- 1 t baking powder shopping list
- ½ t salt shopping list
- Beat until fluffy: shopping list
- ¾ C shortening shopping list
- 1 C sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- ½ t vanilla & ½ t almond flavoring shopping list
- Beat in: shopping list
- flour mixture shopping list
- Chill: shopping list
- 1 hour or until firm shopping list
How to make it
- Roll: To 1/8 inch thickness, keeping unused dough chilled
- until ready to roll.
- Cut into desired shapes
- Bake on greased cookie sheet (Pam) at 375 for 8 – 10 mins or until pale color appears
- Decorate with colored frostings
- Makes about 4 dozen 3 inch cookies
