Christmas Ribbon Salad Recipe
This takes a bit of time, but it is beautiful when completed. Make it in a 9 x 13 pan. There are 3 layers red and green with a white in the middle. Yummy

Ingredients
  • 2 (3 oz) pkg lime jello
  • 5 cups hot water
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 1 (3oz) lemon jello
  • 1/2 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1 ( 8 oz) package cream cheese
  • 1 (1 lb 4 oz) can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 cup heavy cream, whipped
  • 1 cup mayo
  • 2 (3 oz) pkg cherry jello

Directions
  1. dissolve lime jello in 2 cups hot water. add 2 cups cold water. pour into 9 x 13 pan. chill until partially set
  2. dissolve lemon jellow in 1 cup hot water in top of double boiler. add marshmallows and stir to melt
  3. remove from heat. add 1 cup drained pineaple juice and cream cheese
  4. beat until well blended and stir in pineapple. cool slightly. forld in whipped cream and mayo. chill until thickened.
  5. pour onto a layer on top of lime jello. chill until almost set
  6. dissolve cherry jello in 2 cups hot water. add 2 cups cold water; chill until syrupy. Pour over pineapple layer. chill until firm.

  8. to serve: cut into squares. serve with a dollop of cool whip

My Grandmother made this every year for the family get together at Christmas....she is no longer with us but her salad recips lives on! Thanks for the reminder....
