  • 1 package onion soup mix
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder or 3 cloves fresh garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil
  • 1 (2 pound) rump roast

Directions
  1. Combine soup mix and spices with 3 cups water in a roasting pan Add roast and bake at 350 degrees F for 3 hours, turning roast once and basting often with juices.
