these are like hush puppies without being all cornmeal

Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornmeal
  • 2 1/2 cups finely chopped onions
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 cup milk

Directions
  1. mix all ingredients
  2. .
  3. batter should be thick
  4. .
  5. may need to add additional flour 1 Tbsp at a time
  6. .
  7. drop into hot grease. fry until golden
