Cranberry Salad Dated 1931 Recipe

Ingredients

How to make it

  • Dissolve gelatin in hot water.
  • Cool slightly.
  • Add cranberries, pineapple, wine and walnuts.
  • Let set in large glass pan.
  • Mix cream cheese and sour cream then spread over gelatin mixture.
  • Chill several hours then cut into squares.

    Oh my gosh, this is EXACTLY the recipe I got from an elderly neighbor years and years ago and have been making ever since! It wouldn't be Christmas at our house without it. I've never seen another recipe like it in all this time until I stumbled across yours today. Now I know how old the original recipe is. Thank you, Chefmeow!
