Vegetable Salad - Aunt Helens Recipe

Ingredients
  • Salad:
  • 1 - can sweet peas, drain
  • 1 - can niblet corn, drain
  • 1 - can french style green beans, drain
  • 1 big onion, chopped
  • 3 stalks of celery, sliced thin
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • Marinade:
  • 1/2 c Crisco Vegetable Oil
  • 1 c white vinegar
  • 1 c sugar
  • salt to taste
  • 2 T water.

Directions
  1. Place all vegetables in a large bowl and set aside.
  2. Bring the marinade ingredients to a boi and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
  3. Pour the mixture over the vegetables and stir. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Served chilled.
