Diabetic Maple Syrup

- 1 cup unsweetened apple juice shopping list
- 1 tsp maple flavoring shopping list
- 1 tsp butter buds shopping list
- 1 tbl cornstarch shopping list
- sugar substitute equal to 1/3 cup sugar ( 8 packets Splenda) shopping list
How to make it
- Add apple juice, maple flavoring, butter buds and cornstarch to a small saucepan. Stir well to dissolve cornstarch. Cook over medum heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Stir in sugar substitute. Syrup may be refrigerated for up to 1 week. Serves 6 ( 3 tbl per serving ).
- Per serving: 25 cal. ( 2% from fat ) 6.2 gram carb, 1mg sodium
- Exchanges 1/3 fruit
