Crisp Corn Sticks Recipe

Ingredients

1 c plain yellow cornmeal

1/4 t salt

1/4 t baking soda

1/4 c vegetable oil

2 T light corn syrup

1 c buttermil,

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Combine first 3 ingredients in a mixing bowl; set aside.

Combine oil, corn syrup, and buttermilk; mix well.

Stir into dry ingredients.

Place a well-greased cast-iron corn stick pan in 400 degree oven for 3 minutes or until a drop of water sizzles when dropped on pan.

Remove pan from oven; spoon batter into pan, filling each section one-half full.

Bake at 400 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

Note: Serve with the Dining In The Low Country Menu

This sounds good, but I have no idea what a corn stick pan is...I'm not real smart when it comes to unique kitchen stuff. It does sound good though.
