Ingredients
  • 1 c plain yellow cornmeal
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 1/4 t baking soda
  • 1/4 c vegetable oil
  • 2 T light corn syrup
  • 1 c buttermil,

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Combine first 3 ingredients in a mixing bowl; set aside.
  3. Combine oil, corn syrup, and buttermilk; mix well.
  4. Stir into dry ingredients.
  5. Place a well-greased cast-iron corn stick pan in 400 degree oven for 3 minutes or until a drop of water sizzles when dropped on pan.
  6. Remove pan from oven; spoon batter into pan, filling each section one-half full.
  7. Bake at 400 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Note: Serve with the Dining In The Low Country Menu

This sounds good, but I have no idea what a corn stick pan is...I'm not real smart when it comes to unique kitchen stuff. It does sound good though.


Now I will have to drag out my cornstick pans for this recipe. Haven't seen them for a while. Thanks for reminding me.


Yum, I have two corn stick pans that I have never used yet, I will bookmark this so I can finally use my pans. Great post thanks for sharing, I know these must be very good.
