How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Combine first 3 ingredients in a mixing bowl; set aside.
  • Combine oil, corn syrup, and buttermilk; mix well.
  • Stir into dry ingredients.
  • Place a well-greased cast-iron corn stick pan in 400 degree oven for 3 minutes or until a drop of water sizzles when dropped on pan.
  • Remove pan from oven; spoon batter into pan, filling each section one-half full.
  • Bake at 400 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Note: Serve with the Dining In The Low Country Menu

    This sounds good, but I have no idea what a corn stick pan is...I'm not real smart when it comes to unique kitchen stuff. It does sound good though.
