How to make it

  • Melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat.
  • Add flour and mix with a wire whisk until foamy, approximately 3 minutes.
  • Add half and half and mustard then continue to stir for 5 minutes until thickened and hot.
  • Gently stir in white pepper.

    I bet this is tasty, but it's not a great substitute for Hellman's Dijonnaise (since that is tasty AND fat free).
