Rosemary Rutabaga Side Dish

- 1 pound rutabagas shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil shopping list
- 3 cloves garlic, peeled and halved shopping list
- 1/3 cup Low-fat, reduced sodium chicken broth shopping list
- 2 teaspoon sugar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary shopping list
- 1/2 tsp of salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp of black pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Peel and cut rutabaga into ½ inch thick slices.
- Steam the rutabagas over boiling water for 10 minutes. Drain.
- In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add garlic and
- cook for 30 seconds.
- Add rutabagas and sugar. Cook for 6 minutes.
- Add broth, rosemary, salt and pepper.
- Cook uncovered for 10 minutes, until rutabagas are tender

Made this tonight! The sugar really brings out a delicate sweet-savory-ness in the rutabagas, and accompanied with lots of fresh pepper really made it tasty! Great application of an under-appreciated veg!
