- 1 cup buttermilk shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon soda shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1/4 cup flour shopping list
- 1 tablespoon sugar shopping list
- 1/4 cup oil shopping list
- 3/4 cup stone ground white corn meal (yellow cornmeal is fine) shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 4 tablespoons oil for skillet shopping list
How to make it
- Pre-heat oven 475 to 500 degrees.
- In a medium bowl, mix all ingredients. Don't overmix. Should be slightly lumpy.
- Meanwhile, pour 4 tablespoons of oil into a cast iron skillet.
- Place cast iron skillet into pre-heated oven.
- Once the skillet is hot, remove from oven and pour mixed ingredients into hot cast iron skillet.
- Bake for 15 to 20 mns.
