Tahini Salad From The Middle East - Salata Tahini

- 2 tomatoes, seeded and cut into small chunk sized pieces shopping list
- 2 cucumbers, seeded and cut into small chunk sized pieces shopping list
- 2 garlic cloves, minced shopping list
- 1 cup tahini shopping list
- 1 lemon, juiced shopping list
- Note: Please do NOT use anything other than a real lemon. shopping list
- 1/2 - 1 cup water shopping list
- 1 Teaspoon mint, chopped shopping list
- olive oil (to garnish) shopping list
- salt to taste and if necessary shopping list
- Note: You may need to adjust the amount of tahini and water to your personal desired consistency. Consistency should be creamy. shopping list
How to make it
- Dice tomatoes and cucumbers and combine them together in a medium sized bowl.
- Add minced garlic.
- Mix tahini dressing in a seperate bowl with water.
- Add lemon in intervals until it reaches a desired tartness.
- Stir the dressing until smooth and creamy.
- Gently blend everything together.
- Place in the refridgerator for at least 30 minutes to enhance the flavours.
- Serve with a swirl of olive oil on top.
- If you want to spice this recipe up, you can add finely chopped jalapeno peppers or a dash of Tobasco sauce.
