How to make it

  • Whisk pumpkin, broth, cream, garlic and bay leaf in a heavy large saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a simmer, whisking often. Add syrup and ginger. Simmer 10 minutes. Remove garlic and bay leaf. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
