Cowboy Stew

- 1 cup of navy beans soaked in fresh cold water overnight shopping list
- 3 large onions chopped coarsely shopping list
- 2 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1 lb. of ground beef shopping list
- 1 can of tomatoes and green chilies shopping list
- 1/2 can of beer shopping list
- 1 teaspoon of salt shopping list
- 2 tablespoons of brown sugar shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp of dry mustard shopping list
- 4 strips of bacon, cooked crispy and crumbled shopping list
How to make it
- Cook beans in salted water for two hours, drain.
- In a large skillet saute onions in butter until transparent.
- In a separate skillet, brown the ground beef and drain well.
- Add to onions, add tomatoes, breaking up any big pieces.
- Add seasonings, beer and beans.
- Cook another twenty minutes or so.
- Serve with bacon sprinkled on top.
