Ingredients
  • 1 cup of navy beans soaked in fresh cold water overnight
  • 3 large onions chopped coarsely
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 lb. of ground beef
  • 1 can of tomatoes and green chilies
  • 1/2 can of beer
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp of dry mustard
  • 4 strips of bacon, cooked crispy and crumbled

Directions
  1. Cook beans in salted water for two hours, drain.
  2. In a large skillet saute onions in butter until transparent.
  3. In a separate skillet, brown the ground beef and drain well.
  4. Add to onions, add tomatoes, breaking up any big pieces.
  5. Add seasonings, beer and beans.
  6. Cook another twenty minutes or so.
  7. Serve with bacon sprinkled on top.
