New York Cheesecake

This easy to make classic cheesecake has a slightly cakelike texture.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds cream cheese shopping list
- 3/4 C granulated sugar shopping list
- 2 large eggs lightly beaten shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla extract shopping list
- 2 tbs cornstarch shopping list
- 1 C sourcream shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together to cream cheese and sugar until smooth and light
- Beat in the eggs, vanilla, and cornstarch, only until thoroughly mixed.
- Stir in the sour cream until the mixture is well blended
- Pour the mixture into the prepared crust and bake for 45 minutes.
- Allow the cake to cool in the oven with the door propped slightly open, for three hours.
- A few toppings that may be added if desired are a can of crushed pineapple, blackberries, blueberries, or shaved almonds.
- Refridgerate until serving
