How to make it

  • Boil pasta in salty water.
  • Drain and transfer to a large baking dish.
  • Heat the oil, cut and sauté bacon. Throw away the bacon fat.
  • Cut the ham into pieces as well.
  • Add oil and sauté the onion until slightly softened, about 2 minutes. Mix the onion (including oil), bacon, salt, pepper, and cheese (leave some to sprinkle on top) with the pasta..
  • Beat the eggs with the fresh cream and pour on pasta.
  • Sprinkle with cheese and bread crumbs.
  • Pre-heat oven at 180o C and bake until the bread crumbs are lightly toasted.
  • Fusilli can be substituted with fusilli tricolore or with penne or rigatoni etc.
