Byerlys Wild Rice Soup

- 6 Tbs butter shopping list
- 1 Tbs minced onion shopping list
- 1/2 cup flour shopping list
- 3 cups chicken broth shopping list
- 2 cups cooked wild rice shopping list
- 1/3 cup minced ham shopping list
- 1/2 cup finely grated carrots shopping list
- 3T chopped slivered almonds shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 cup half & half shopping list
- 2 Tbs dry sherry shopping list
How to make it
- Melt butter in saucepan; saute onion until tender.
- Blend in flour, gradually add broth.
- Cook, stirring constantly until mixture comes to a boil. Boil 1 minute. Stir in rice, ham, carrots, almonds and salt; simmer about 5 minutes, blend in half & half and sherry; heat to serving temperature
