Beef Carnitas

- 4 pounds chuck roast (fat trimmed) shopping list
- 2 garlic cloves, minced shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano (dried) shopping list
- 1/2 teasoon cumin(ground) shopping list
- 1 can green chile peppers (4 oz) chopped shopping list
- 2 tabelspoons of chile powder shopping list
- salt if desired shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat your oven to 300 degrees.
- Line roast in heavy foil that is large enough to enclose the meat. In small bowl. mix the chile powder, green chile peppers, cumin, oregano, garlic, and salt if desired. Mix all together and rub all over the meat.
- Wrap the meat in the foil covering completely and put in roasting pan.
- Bake 300 degrees for approximately 4 hours. The meat will fall off the fork when done.
- Shred using two forks.
