How to make it

  • Brown sausage then drain well.
  • Add bell pepper, onion and celery then sauté until vegetables wilt.
  • Add rice and stir well.
  • Add dry soup mix and canned soup then stir in boiling water.
  • Combine all ingredients except almonds in 2-quart casserole.
  • Cover and bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
  • After 30 minutes mix lightly with fork.
  • Sprinkle with almonds.
