This dish comes together rather quickly for a hearty meal..

Ingredients
  • 1 can whole kernel corn, drained (17 ounce can)
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon all purpose flour
  • 1 can tomato sauce (8 ounce)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 slightly beaten eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups cream style cottage cheese, drained
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon chopped chives
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • slivered almonds (optional)

Directions
  1. Spread corn in an ungreased shallow 1 1/2 quart casserole dish.
  2. In medium skillet brown ground beef ; drain off excess fat.
  3. Add flour; cook and stir for 1 minute.
  4. Stir in tomato sauce, garlic salt, and cinnamon; pour over corn in dish.
  5. Bake in oven 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile, combine eggs, cottage cheese and chives;
  7. spread over meat mixture.
  8. Top with Parmesan and mozzarella; sprinkle nuts over, if desired.
  9. Bake 10 to 15 minutes more,
