This is one of the most tender , easyest,yummy tasting stroganoffs I've ever made. Serve with pasta/rice and salad.

Ingredients
  • 1 kg fillet or rumpsteak, cut up in pieces (36 oz ; 2.2 pound )
  • 60 ml tomato chutney (1/4 cup) or
  • 30 ml tomato sauce (ketchup) (3 tablespoons) + 30 ml chutney (3 tablespoons)
  • 1 packet of thick white onion soup
  • 4 tablespoons water
  • 250 ml cream (1 cup)
  • 1 can mushrooms (optional)

Directions
  1. Place the steak into a oven dish or casserole.
  2. Pour the chutney and ketchup over.
  3. Mix.
  4. Sprinkle the soup powder over.
  5. Mix.
  6. Pour the water over.
  7. Mix.
  8. Put a lid on the dish or just put foil over.
  9. Bake at 180 degrees celcius(350 degrees F) for 40 - 60 minutes.
  10. Stir in the cream and the mushrooms.
  11. Bake another 15 - 20 minutes.

This does sound yummy, I agree with OM, I love stroganoff too. I could eat it almost daily and not get tired of it.
