This is a differnt way to serve antipaso and you can add anything you like: roasted peppers, olives, different cheeses. Your choice.

Ingredients
  • 10 ounces Havarti cheese, cubed
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 (6 ounce) jar mushroom caps, drained
  • 6 slices cocktail rye bread, quartered
  • You will need 24 skewers

Directions
  1. Mix garlic, olive oil, parsley, salt, and pepper together in a medium bowl.
  2. Toss in mushrooms, and allow to marinate for 20 minutes. T
  3. hread one piece each, bread, mushroom, and havarti onto cocktail toothpicks or small skewers.
  4. Arrange on a platter, drizzle with remaining marinade, and serve.

This is such a good idea.. We have Italian every Christmas.. and this would be great done and stuck in something to let them stand.. awesome! Were having stuffed shells... anymore ideas for pre-dinner? Keep them coming!
