Homemade Chocolate Truffels

- 1 tbsp sugar shopping list
- 1/4 cup whipping cream shopping list
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter shopping list
- 6 oz semi sweet chocolate, chopped (170 grams) shopping list
- 2 tbsp desired liqueur (brandy, Amaretto, Kahlua, rum etc.) or any flavoring (orange, mint, raspberry etc) shopping list
- 1/2 cup nuts, finely chopped shopping list
- 1.2 cup unsweetended cocoa powder shopping list
How to make it
- In a 1 quart saucepan, combine sugar, cream and butter.
- Cook and stir until butter is melted and mixture very hot.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in semi-sweet chocolate until melted and well blended.
- Stir in liquor. (If desired, halve the batch and use different liquors of flavouring)
- Cover and chill 1 hour or until completely cooled, stirring often.
- Drop mixture from a rounded teaspoon onto a baking sheet lined with wax paper.
- Chill 30 minutes or until firm.
- Roll balls into nuts or cocoa powder.
- You may roll in coconut, sprinkles or dip into white, dark or milk chocolate.
- Store in a cool, dry location.
