Ingredients

How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Mix together flour, soda and salt. Set aside.
  • With an electric mixer, beat butter and both sugars for about 2 minutes or until very creamy. Add vanilla and eggs and beat just until egg is blended in. By hand, stir flour mixture into butter mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.
  • Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a parchment or Silpat lined cookie sheet. If you don’t have parchment or a Silpat, just use an ungreased sheet. Bake for 10 minutes. Let cool on sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool and crisp.

It worked alright but they stuck so badly to my pan that none of my cookies were together. I was so disappointing. But, they tasted good anyways, so thank you

I've been searching for the perfect cookie recipe for my family for awhile ,it went as far as my mom telling me to stop trying -ouch! But I came across this little recipe and decided to give it a shot! I was getting excited when my house smelled absolutely delicious. They were perfectly thin and crispy and very yummy. Thanks so much for sharing, my family loved them!!

Hi Suz! Thanks for trying them. They really are kind of a nice change from the usual Toll House. Munchy, like you I just get tired of soft cookies sometimes ;).

Thanks for making, them S. Good point about the cook-time. If you don' t cook them for the full 10 minutes (some ovens may require 11 or 12) they won't be quite as crispy. Glad you liked them.

I just baked them- make sure they are browning on the edges and all-over golden brown before taking out of oven. These were really good. Omitted the salt because I only had salted butter. Also, I used white and dark chocolate swirl chocolate chips...YUM!!! Awesome recipe- make sure to bake until golden brown for crispy cookies- a bit chewy too!

I bet they're good- 2 sticks of butter! I'd better get the elastic waist pants out now...
