- 1 2/3 cup of sugar superfine if you can find it shopping list
- 2/3 cup dark corn syrup shopping list
- 1/3 light cream shopping list
- 1/4 cup butter shopping list
- 1/2 teasp. vanilla shopping list
- 1/3 nuts finely chopped shopping list
How to make it
- combine sugar, corn syrup, and cream in a heavy pot. cook over med heat stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves
- add butter
- turn heat to low and cook, stirring occasionally until it reaches 260' on the candy thermometer.
- remove from heat and stir in vanilla and the nuts
- stir for 2 mins.
- pour into a greased 8 x8 pan.
- when almost set, mark into squares with a knife.
- when cold cut or break
- makes 1 1/3 LB
