How to make it

  • combine sugar, corn syrup, and cream in a heavy pot. cook over med heat stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves
  • add butter
  • turn heat to low and cook, stirring occasionally until it reaches 260' on the candy thermometer.
  • remove from heat and stir in vanilla and the nuts
  • stir for 2 mins.
  • pour into a greased 8 x8 pan.
  • when almost set, mark into squares with a knife.
  • when cold cut or break
  • makes 1 1/3 LB
