Clam Sauce

- 1/4 cup good extra virgin olive oil shopping list
- 3-5 cloves of garlic, minced well shopping list
- 3 can cans minced clams and their liquid, reserved shopping list
- 1/2 cup white wine that you like to drink shopping list
- 1 tsp. dried basil shopping list
- 1 tsp. dried oregano shopping list
- 1 tsp. pepper (or to taste) shopping list
- 1/2 freshly chopped flat parsley shopping list
- 1 pound of linguine, cooked shopping list
- freshly grated parmesan to serve on the side shopping list
How to make it
- Lightly saute' the garlic in the olive oil. Do not let this brown or it will be too bitter.
- Add the clams., their liquid, the wine, and the herbs and simmer. Cook until the flavors come together and season with pepper to taste.
- In a serving bowl pour this sauce over the pasta.
- Pass the cheese around.

I have a clam sauce recipe I use, but it doesn't have wine in it! This sounds really good. I'm going to try this one!

This was very good. I put the pasta directly from the pot into the sauce pan and let it simmer for just a bit to absorb some of the sauce.
