This is a rather dense cake, verging on a brownie like texture. It has a very peanut butter like texture which is very important to the overall taste.

Ingredients
  • 8 oz granulated sugar
  • 1 oz Cocoa Powder (sweetened drinking cocoa is fine)
  • 8 oz milk
  • 4 oz flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 2 oz butter - softened
  • 1 egg lightly beaten
  • 4 oz chocolate
  • 2 heaping tablepoons smooth peanut butter
  • pinch of salt

Directions
  1. Heat oven to 180 degrees C
  2. Melt chocolate in a double boiler and set aside to cool
  3. Mix 4oz sugar, cocoa powder and milk until all is dissolved and set aside
  4. Mix flour, baking soda and salt together and set aside
  5. Cream together the remaining 4oz sugar and butter
  6. Add in the egg and mix until texture is creamy and smooth
  7. Add the egg mixture into the flour mixture and set aside
  8. Mix the peanut butter into the cooled melted chocolate until thick and smooth
  9. Combine the chocolate mixture into the flour mixture until smooth
  10. Pour into cake pan
  11. Cook for 35min or until firm and skewer comes out clean.
  12. Let cool, then cover with a light glaze or a cream cheese icing
