Ingredients

How to make it

  • Combine 5 cups of water and 1 strip Kombu in a pot and cook for 20 minutes below a rapid boil.
  • Take out strips of Kombu.
  • Add Bonito flakes and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Strain liquid to get out flakes.
  • Add 5 cups of strained Dashi broth to pot.
  • Add the Miso Soup ingredients.
  • Simmer.
  • Garnish and serve.

    yes, I think you can make it without the tuna flakes, and instead you could use mushrooms to add more flavor.

    Thanks for posting this recipe. I've been looking for one to make at home. I love Miso soup, but have never tried cooking it at home.
