- 2 eggs shopping list
- 2.5 ounce granulated sugar shopping list
- 3.5 ounce butter shopping list
- 2 cups all purpose flour shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence shopping list
- 1 tablespoon baking powder shopping list
- 1 litre vegetable oil shopping list
- 6 ounce honey shopping list
- 6 tablespoons powdered sugar shopping list
- Silver balls shopping list
How to make it
- Break the eggs and whisk.
- Add sugar to eggs.
- Mix immediately.
- Bring butter to room teperature.
- Flake butter into the flour.
- Put aside.
- Add vanilla to egg mixture.
- Mix the egg mixture while flour mixture are being added bit by bit.
- Let the dough rest in a cool, dry place for about 20 minutes.
- Form small balls from the dough.
- Put oil into a large pot and bring to 350 degrees F.
- Fry small quantities of the dough in oil until golden brown.
- Let it cool down to roomtemperature.
- In a saucepan, heat hone (not to boil).
- Add small quantities of the balls into the pan.
- stir lightly with a large slotted spoon.
- Remove balls from honey.
- Place onto a serving plate.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
- Sprinkle silver balls over.
