Cherry Stuffed French Toast

- 1 french baguette shopping list
- 4 ounces cream cheese shopping list
- 8 ounces cherry pie fill (about 1/2 can) shopping list
- 4 large eggs shopping list
- 1/2 cup cream shopping list
- 1 tsp. cinnamon shopping list
- 1 tsp. nutmeg shopping list
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat griddle to 350 degrees.
- In a medium bowl mix 4 oz. of cream cheese with cherries (take cherries from can with a fork in order to avoid too much syrup). Blend until smooth. Mixture should be pink, cherries will be in pieces.
- In a large bowl beat eggs. Add in cream, vanilla extract, cinnamon & nutmeg. Mix well.
- With a serrated knife cut baguette diagonally into 1/2 inch slices. Cut each slice into a top and bottom without separating. Fill with a tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture and close.
- Soak stuffed bread pieces in egg mixture until slightly "squishy". Place on hot greased griddle and cook until golden brown.
- Serve with powdered sugar, maple syrup or fresh fruit.
