How to make it

  • Preheat griddle to 350 degrees.
  • In a medium bowl mix 4 oz. of cream cheese with cherries (take cherries from can with a fork in order to avoid too much syrup). Blend until smooth. Mixture should be pink, cherries will be in pieces.
  • In a large bowl beat eggs. Add in cream, vanilla extract, cinnamon & nutmeg. Mix well.
  • With a serrated knife cut baguette diagonally into 1/2 inch slices. Cut each slice into a top and bottom without separating. Fill with a tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture and close.
  • Soak stuffed bread pieces in egg mixture until slightly "squishy". Place on hot greased griddle and cook until golden brown.
  • Serve with powdered sugar, maple syrup or fresh fruit.
