Ingredients
  • 1 can (6 1/2 oz.) tuna
  • 1/4 cup quick rolled oats
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup cottage cheese
  • 2 or 3 tsp dry onion soup mix
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp prepared mustard
  • 1 Tbsp mayonnaise
  • 3 Tbsp dry bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp butter, melted

Directions
  1. Mix all together, except last two ingredients, and put into small loaf pan.
  2. Sprinkle with topping of bread crumbs and butter, then sprinkle with a little paprika.
  3. Bake 35 minutes at 350*

This sounds so good I can't wait to try it.


Gotta try this! I never have dry soup mix though...what could I put in it's place? We don't eat meat on Fridays and if I don't make it to the store today, I may be cooking some canned tuna, and this sound really good!

I made this tuna loaf recipe in the mid-70's as a young wife and mother. It was a staple in our home. I lost my Aglow in the Kitchen cookbook sometime ago, so I was thrilled to see this recipe from that cookbook on this website. Trust me, it's very tasty and easy to make. I have this tuna loaf in the oven 'as we speak'. I added some of my home grown fresh dill but otherwise followed the recipe.
