Layered Taco Dip Recipe

Layered Taco Dip Recipe
I got this recipe from my Mom years ago and no matter who tries it they really like it. It's one that I like to make & take for any get together. It travels very well. And only gets better after the first couple of days. Could be made ahead.

Ingredients
  • 1 can (16oz) refried beans
  • 1 carton (6oz) avocado dip, or you may use 3 fresh mashed avocados
  • 1/2 Cup sour cream
  • 1/2 Cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 to 1 package taco seasoning
  • 5 or 6 green onions ( I use the entire thing)
  • 2 large tomatoes, diced
  • 1-1/2 Cups Mexican shredded cheese
  • 1 small can chopped black olives
  • Dorito's or any kind of chip you prefer

Directions
  1. In a medium sized bowl combine the sour cream, mayonnaise & taco seasoning. Mixing well until blended. Set aside.
  2. In a 12x8x2 inch dish layer in order as listed. (refried beans, avocado dip, sour cream/seasoning mixture, green onions, tomatoes, shredded cheese and the black olives.)
  3. Keep in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
  4. Can be made ahead of time.
  5. Tastes better after 1 or 2 days in fridge.
