Cooked fish, basically marinated in a picled sauce and then cooked. Standing time - overnight

Ingredients
  • 2 ml fine cloves (1/2 teaspoon)
  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
  • 250 ml white vinegar (1 cup)
  • 30 ml mild curry powder (2 heaped tablespoons)
  • 2 big onions, cut in rings
  • 80 ml sugar ( 1/4 cup + 1 1/2 tablespoons)
  • 4 ml sout (3/4 teaspoon )
  • 8 small portions of baked fish (any white fish would do)

Directions
  1. Heat up everytjing in a saucepan, except the fish.
  2. Stir until the sugar is melted.
  3. Bring to the boil.
  4. Put a lid on.
  5. Let simmer until the onion rings are soft.
  6. Pour over cooked fish.
  7. Cover.
  8. Let it stand overnight in the freezer.
  9. Serve the next day with fresh bread and salad.
  10. You can heat up the fish if you prefer.
