Amish Vanilla Pie

- 1/4 c Granulated sugar shopping list
- 1 Egg; well beaten shopping list
- 1 tbsp flour shopping list
- 1/4 c brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 c molasses or light corn syrup shopping list
- 1 ts pVanilla shopping list
- 1 c water shopping list
- 1 9" unbaked pie shell shopping list
- -----------------------------------CRUMBS----------------------------------- shopping list
- 1 c flour shopping list
- 1/2 c brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 ts baking powder shopping list
- 1/4 c lard, butter, margerine or shortening shopping list
- 1/2 ts baking soda shopping list
How to make it
- Combine all the above ingredients, except the vanilla, in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and continue boiling until thickened. Allow to cool and stir in vanilla. Pour into unbaked shell.
- CRUMBS Melt shortening. Stir in dry ingredients. Crumble mixture over pie shell.
- Bake at 375 degrees F. for 50 to 60 minutes.
