Wet Burrito Recipe
This is quite a deal in Michigan! You won't find this mixed in with any authetic Mexican recipes! I found that people out West don't know what these are...or Pizza Subs (I'll add that one too)! Great idea for American Mexican food lovers!

Ingredients
  • 1 lb. ground beef, thawed
  • 1 tbsp. oil
  • 1 tsp. minced garlic
  • 2 small onions, chopped
  • 1 pkg Taco Seasoning
  • 1 can Refried Beans
  • 1 can tomato sauce + 1 can water
  • 1 pkg Burrito Seasoning Mix
  • Cornstarch + Cold Water
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1-2 bags Shredded Mexican or Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • Lettuce, Tomatoes, Green/Red Sweet Peppers
  • Sour Cream, Salsa, Guacamole (optional)

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Brown ground beef in oil, garlic and onion.
  3. Add Taco Seasoning and Refried Beans.
  4. Sauce:
  5. In saucepan, add tomato sauce, 1 can water, and Burrito Seasoning. Bring to boil, stirring occasionally.
  6. Slowly whisk in 1 part cornstarch to 3 parts cold water in tomato mixture til desired texture.
  7. In bottom of 9x13 pan, spread a little sauce.
  8. Layer 4 large tortillas in pan....overlapping is ok.
  9. Add meat mixture with a little sauce over it, even amounts of meat/beans over the four tortillas.
  10. You may add veggies at this point or choose to have them on the side. (I prefer mine outside and on the side so it's crisp and fresh.)
  11. Roll burritos seperately. First you fold in the sides, then roll it completely shut.
  12. Pour remaining sauce on top, saturating the burritos.
  13. Layer each burrito with a considerable amount of cheese.
  14. Bake for 30 minutes or until sauce is bubbly.
  15. ***If you chose to have veggies on top, add them just before serving, or on the side. Serve with your choice of sour cream, salsa, and/or guacamole.
