Four Cheese Bow Ties With Canadian Bacon Recipe
This is a very tasty and very cheesy pasta dish sure to please all. We love it and hope you do as well.

Ingredients
  • 8 ounces bow ties uncooked
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Romano cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 cup Canadian bacon strips
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil

Directions
  1. Cook pasta according to package directions.
  2. While pasta is cooking heat half and half in 2 quart saucepan over medium heat but do not boil.
  3. Add all cheeses then reduce heat stirring constantly until sauce is smooth.
  4. Remove from heat then pour over well drained pasta and toss.
  5. Sprinkle with additional parmesan cheese, Canadian bacon and basil.
  6. Serve immediately.

This sounds really good. Is Canadian bacon what we call "back bacon" here in Saskatchewan? It kind of looks like ham instead of all fatty like strips of bacon? Could a person use ham instead?
