Buttercream Frosting Recipe
Another recipe from my marshmallow fluff book. I found similar ones, but I wanted to post the variations also. Hope it doesn't confuse anyone!!

Ingredients
  • 7 1/2oz jar marshmallow fluff
  • 1 and 1/2 cups unsalted butter, room temperature
  • FOR VARIATIONS, see below

Directions
  1. Soften the fluff for 30 seconds in the microwave.Scrape the entire contents of the jar into a medium bowl.
  2. Mix on high until smooth.
  3. Add the butter in small pieces and whip until smooth.
  4. Scrape the bowl well and whip again.
  5. Use immediately or add one of the flavors listed just until fully incorporated.
  6. *********************
  7. Chocolate: Melt 5 oz bittersweet chocolate and let stand until barely warm. Mix into buttercream.
  8. White chocolate: Melt 6oz white chocolate and let stand until barely warm. Mix into buttercream.
  9. Coffee: Dissolve 1-2 Tbsp instant coffee granules in 1 Tbsp hot water. Mix into buttercream.
  10. Orange: Combine 2 tsp freshly grated orange zest and 1-3 drops orange oil (or 1/4 tsp orange extract). Do I really have to say "mix into buttercream" again??
